I've started making homemade soap, and I love it! This morning I took some older spearmint soap I made a few months ago and shredded it, and then I melted it in boiling distilled water to make liquid hand soap for our family. I hate all the junk they put in liquid soaps these days. Scout and I then made whipped body butter, with raw unrefined shea butter, jojobo oil, avocado oil, and orange essential oil. Our skin gets so dry up here, and it's much cheaper to buy in bulk and make it yourself. Next up on my list is a shampoo bar.Wednesday, November 19, 2008

I've got my retirement all planned out.
I've never seen that show. (I know, I know...) I have always wanted a cement pond, though. That's on the top of my list when we house-hunt in Louisiana.
No plans to market anything. Jimmy is always trying to get me to sell stuff I make (my bread, my bagels, my granola bars, my soap). He sees me sitting on my duff all day and thinks I should be contributing to the household income. And he always mumbles something about retirement and wanting a bass boat...
How have you never seen the BH? Next thing you'll be telling us is you didn't eat Velveeta growing up!

Btw, you *know* I'm slow - it took me almost a minute to figure out what BH is. :)
you should get Jimmy some fishing lessons before you allow him to purchase a Bass boat.

Ok, Y'all are stealing the show from the blog now....very funny. I was just going to post to make sure I got some of that soap & lotion for Christmas, being that Donna is really into Christmas -- she and that bah-humbug guy ;D
